Confucianism is the leading philosophy of traditional Chinese culture. It attaches importance to the ethic of interpersonal relationship and the sense of community and also emphasizes the strong bonds of family and the connection among people. Globalization has lead to the fading of individual culture identity, those cultural characteristics which conserved by Confucianism are also being forgotten. Inspired by the traditional Chinese character--“人”, which means “a person”--became our main theme. Furthermore, it also impact us from individual family to the whole society, either from private to public environment. We are eager to awake the humanity in traditional Chinese culture and remind people that humanity is the center of emotion via this project.

Material

Plastic material is the most common material used for producing furniture. The plastic material, however, can hardly to be dissolve in the nature environment. The alternative solution for producing furniture is to use wood as raw material. Normally, the growth of the trees take a very long period. When people producing furniture, they would burn ocean of tree for their profit. The burning process of wood will produce CO2, which is not eco-friendly as producing plastic furniture. Therefore, we use a combination material, WPC, to solve the environmental problem.

WPC is a combination of recycling plastic waste and natural fiber. Modern furniture industries use it as raw material to develop various products. Even more, some architecture also use it as building material. The application of WPC is extensive and the development of it cannot be underestimated in the future.
